Olofsfors is nominated for Nordmaling's gala

This is the 5th edition of the Nordmalingsgalan, where companies that have excelled and made an impression in various categories are nominated.

- It's fun to get this recognition, as it feels like we really deserved a nomination. In the last 3 years, we have invested almost SEK 150 million where much of our investments have benefited local companies, says Göran Nyberg, CEO of Olofsfors.

Olofsfors today has a fully automated world-class production with about 40 robots. They have 2 robotic welding cells for bands, a total of 9 robot cells and more are on their way in.

- The investments we have made secure our future sales and quality. Some investments are pure insourcing investments that benefit both the environment and secure jobs locally, Nyberg continues.

Two nominations within a month

At the end of September, Olofsfors was also nominated for this year's Technology Prize at the Umeå Gala, a prize that will be awarded on 8 November. 

-Our technical development in production is outstanding and unique and we have therefore also been nominated for this year's Technology Award at the Umeå Gala. Not bad for a Nordmalingsföretag, Nyberg concludes.

The different award categories in Nordmaling are Service, Production, Creativity, Environment and Sustainability and Nordmaling's Ambassador of the Year.
